In June 2001, we eliminated the old REGISTRATION NUMBER method and added a KEYDISK feature. In June of 2002, we dropped the KEYDISK feature because so many customers were destroying their KEYDISK by using it for other purposes. We now have an Automatic OnLine database to keep track of customers Licenses.

Since we do not charge for updates, the burden of keeping your product up to date not only providing you with new features but helping us reduce our technical support costs, was up to you. This is so important that ALL of our software products now include BUILT IN AUTOMATIC UPDATING.

If you have failed to keep your product updated, there is a Service Charge (see below) to manually update our database.

First make sure you are downloading and installing the SAME product you originally purchased. In doubt? Email the Sales Office at sales-office@ed-it.com first. Provide you name, product purchased, and approximate date.

After you update your product, fill out the Order Form using the ORDER button that appears on the Copyright Screen each time you start the software. Then PURCHASE the product at the indicated price. This will immediately restore your rights to use the product and you will be able to use the product with the Evaluation or Trial Period.

Next, and most important, you must immediately send an email request THE SAME DAY to sales-office@ed-it.com.

In that email include your NAME, TELEPHONE, and EMAIL address especially if any have changed. This is so that we can find you in our database to confirm your customer status and original product purchase.

We will respond with an email confirming that we will change the purchase amount to cover only the Service Charge (see below)so that you can confirm this upon receipt of your next bank statement. This is so that you have something in writing from ED/iT just in case we make a mistake and fail to change the billing amount.

SERVICE CHARGE The amount of the service charge is 50% of the current price of the product rounded to the nearest dollar. For example, if your product is $14.95, the Service Charge is $8.00.
