Who are the Paper Vendors?

Some paper vendors are in retails stores, some are catalog mail order only, and some are only on the internet. ED/iT works only with major paper vendors with established product lines.

You can find a complete list of all the paper vendors in the built-in HELP from the Contents topic "Choosing and Working with your Paper Stock". (Remember, we have different Editions supporting each vendor or the Full Edition which works with all vendors.) Here is a complete list of all the paper vendors ED/iT currently supports:

AVAILABILITY - You can find Legacy paper stock in Best Buy and a variety of small office supply stores. The Legacy Invitations and Announcement stock is called embossed Greeting Cards while the Accessory Cards are called embossed Announcement Cards. Do not become confused by this. Their Greeting Cards package includes 25 cards and envelopes. Their Announcement Cards package includes 68 cards (17 sheets) and envelopes. In addition, Legacy offers an embossed Invitation Kit which includes 12 Invitations and 12 Accessory Cards (with envelopes for each). The Legacy paper stocks are not mail order. They can be found nationwide at Best Buy and independent office supply stores. Legacy also has a non-embossed but pre-creased paper called Ink Jet Gloss Coated Greeting Cards which can be used with the PYO Plain Paper Edition. They do not have matching accessory stocks.

Avery has recently announced a new line of papers that you can use. They have a few embossed papers with envelopes and they have plain papers that are creased for folding and/or microperforated. Since this is a new product, it may not be available in all stores. Call Avery to find a store near you. If you wish to use their ivory embossed papers, you can select one of the Queblo single panel baronials since this is quite close to the embossed Avery paper. If you wish to use the plain Avery paper, it is perfect for the Print Your Own Papers with the included artwork. This saves you from having to find paper stock and envelopes. It also saves you from learning about paper grain and how to fold paper to form a clean edge since the paper is already creased. Avery has not expressed any interest in having their papers included in our products. AVAILABILITY - You can find Avery papers in most major office supply stores.

Formal Invitations by Grafcomm are premium quality papers printed with exclusive designs and hand-made paper embedded with real flower petals. These papers will add a most unique touch to the look and feel of your ensemble. In addition, the paper stock is supplied in kit form which includes a vellum overlay and sheer chiffon ribbons. The translucent vellum is used to print your wording and is then placed over the beautiful paper stock and is tied together with the ribbon. The kit also includes the outer envelopes with embossed floral gold seals. (An extra envelope is included). Kits include supplies for 10 invitations. Grafcomm also supplies pre-printed Respond Cards and Place Card separately. The software includes layouts for all accessory cards using plain paper stock such as bristol or cover stock. Geographics offers Wedding and Invitation Kits with different designs. $35 gets you a kit with 50 invites, responds, and thanks yous and all the envelopes.

Paper Studio has a unique line of paper stock of unusual sizes. They also have a heart shape and round shape paper. They do not have any stock which can be used as accessory card stock with matching envelopes. This vendor does not provide free samples. Their papers are white and are available in both a matte (laser and ink-jet) and glossy (ink-jet only).

The vendor should tell you if their paper is designed for laser, ink-jet, or both. Other sources for paper stock If you have a paper source which is not covered but is identical or very close to the layouts covered, you can use that paper. Simply make certain that the printing is properly located on your paper. You cannot adjust print areas. If your paper source is available nationwide, ED/iT may be able to add coverage for your paper. Contact us! Avoid any paper vendor that will not supply you with samples. Laser vs Ink Jet Paper Stock Note that there are differences in the papers ability to accept laser toner and ink-jet ink. You should test a sample in your printer. Laser toner should adhere well after printing. Ink-jet ink should not bleed or run. Printing on either printer should result in crisp, well-defined text. Accessory Cards using Business Card Stock You can select Business Card (10-up) Stock for use with some Accessory Cards (viz., Pew Cards) as a more appropriate size. This selection is available no matter which paper vendor you are working with. Other sources for paper stock If you have a paper source which is not covered but is identical or very close to the layouts covered, you can use that paper. Simply make certain that the printing is properly located on your paper. You cannot adjust print areas.
