Our Policies . . . |
Privacy - Any and all the information you provide to
ED/iT for our Guestbook, Product Registration, or Product Purchase
(including but not limited to your name, address, telephone,
email, credit card, etc.) is your property. ED/iT has not paid you
for this information. ED/iT has no rights to this information
other than to maintain our Customer Database (for internal use)
and to support the legal aspects of our Copyright protection on
our products. ED/iT does not sell your personal information to
mailing lists nor does ED/iT send you spam.
You should realize that any company that sells your personal
information is making a profit from its use. ED/iT considers that
theft since they have not paid you for its use.
Try-Before-Buy - Do you buy a car without driving it
first? Then why should you buy software in a store only to find
out that it's buggy or does not do what you expected?
All of our Try-Before-Buy products have a 30 day time limit. You
cannot extend this time limit by resetting your computer date. If
you want a new trial period, simply uninstall and reinstall the
product. In addition, if the product's main goal is to print
something useful, we add an "Evaluation" notice under
the printing. During or after the trial period, if you want to
make a purchase, press the ORDER button which appears each time
you run the product. Both Credit Card and Mail Order methods are
available from this button. If, on the other hand, you don't want
the product, click the add/remove option in your Control Panel to
remove it.
After your Purchase and your product is enabled, YOU MUST PRINT
YOUR RECEIPT. FAILURE TO PRINT YOUR RECEIPT AND TO SAVE YOUR
RECEIPT MAY MEAN THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO REPURCHASE THE PRODUCT AT
FULL COST IF YOUR COMPUTER FAILS OR IF YOU PURCHASE A NEW
COMPUTER. |
Free Software - Just that! Free! No strings attached
other than a brief advertising message each time you start the
product. If this annoys you, uninstall the product. |
Returns and Refunds - The concept and beauty of
Try-Before-Buy means that you determine product
suitability prior to purchase. There is a "Terms Of Purchase
Agreement" which you must "sign" by checking in
order to complete a purchase. The "Agreement" states
that you have fully evaluated the product and found it fully
suited to your needs. As a result, there are no refunds under any
circumstances except for software defects (see below). |
Bugs and Defects - If you find a bug or defect in any of
our products that is not related to the operating system, your
computer hardware, or peripherals, we will attempt to fix the bug
or defect within 10 business days. If the bug or defect cannot be
fixed within that time period, we will notify you of the expected
time to repair. If this is not acceptable to you, you will be
issued a full refund for the price you paid. |
Version Updates - Most of our products are free of
update fees. That means, you can visit our site at any time and
download the latest version at no cost. Our no cost update
policy places the responsibility of keeping your product
up-to-date on you. If we charged for updates, we would
certainly send emails promoting the update since there would be
more profit for us to do so. If you fail to keep your product
update at least once per year, your ability to update may fail and
there may be a service charge to reinstate your License to use the
latest version of a product.
Edition Upgrades - Many of our products are available in
different Editions which may include additional features. When you
decide you prefer an Edition with other features, you can
'upgrade' to a higher level product for the difference in cost. |
Computer Failures on New Computers - If you keep your
product up-to-date at least once annually, you can always
reinstall the product. All you need is your original Receipt which
contains your Serial Number and Licensee Name. If you ingnored our
requirement of saving your Receipt, there is a Service Charge to
search our database and email you that information plus the delay
of waiting for same.
No disks to ship - Our web site always has the latest
version of every product. To keep the cost of our products low, we
do not ship disks. You can obtain any product directly from our
site and you will always have the latest version. |
Payments - We accept American Express, MasterCard, Visa,
and both personal and company checks. You can purchase any product
directly from within the software by pressing the ORDER button
which appears each time you run the product during the Trial
Period. If you purchase by Credit Card, it takes about 30 seconds
and we remotely enable the product. If you prefer to send a check,
the ORDER button enables you to print two copies of an order form
(one is for your records and one is to be mailed). Allow at least
10 days to process your order after receipt of your order form. We
then email you with your instructions to enable the product. If
you are outside the U.S, and do not wish to use a Credit Card, we
can only accept POSTAL MONEY ORDERS. |
