WHAT IS TRY-BEFORE-BUY? It means that you download and install a software product and can use it either for a limited time or a limited number of uses. ED/iT products are time based either for a 10 day or 30 day trial. STORE BOUGHT SOFTWARE Next time you see a product in a sofware store, ask the sales clerk if you can take the product home and try it. You know what your answer will be. In fact, if you read the 'Sofware License' before you install the software, you will find that you cannot return the product for a refund. What if the product works fine, no bugs or defects, but it was not what you thought it would be? What if the product was everything you expected but was full of defects? You're out of luck! During your 'trial period', our products are fully functional. Some of our products, such as our wedding and social invitations software, print a 'For Evaluation Use Only' comment on anything you print. We found that this was better than preventing you from printing. In other words, it costs you nothing to try our products, check out the features, verify that it functions in a manner you like, that it prints properly, or displays desired information in a way you like. If you do not like our product, you simply uninstall it. OTHER ADVANTAGES Because our products are 'delivered electronically' (downloads), there are no packaging costs, shipping or retail store markups. This saves you money. But there are other advantages. We can provide you with FREE SOFTWARE UPDATES either for a limited time or forever (depends on the product). Read more about the DOWNLOAD PROCESS so you understand how to do it. WHAT IF YOUR COMPUTER FAILS AND YOU HAVE NO SOFTWARE DISK? We've thought of everything. When you purchase one of our products, you have a License to use it. If your computer fails or you buy a new computer, you simply go to our site and download the product again. It will ask you if you are a Licensed Customer. You simply enter your original Serial Number and the product is fully enabled without your having to purchase it again. In the early days of the Internet, many well meaning people offered their home-made software available for downloading. Still done today, this is often called "shareware". Shareware ranges from utter junk to high quality software. Some shareware is even dangerous because of faulty installation procedures and other defects. Not all downloadable software is shareware. Microsoft offers many of its products as downloads and download upgrades. Be carefull what you download from the Internet. Download from only well-known suppliers. |
